Greeting RHMS Community,
It is with great honor and humility that I return to Roseway Heights MS as your principal. This past year was a great learning experience for me. Not only did I grow as a principal, I also grew as a person. As I mentioned last year, there is no other school that I’d rather be at than Roseway Heights. Our school community is beautiful and full of love. Our students are kind and filled with empathy and compassion. They were the reason that my days were full of excitement and laughter.
I’d like to welcome everyone back (especially our new students and families). As we head into the 2023-2024 school year, there are several things that I want to share with you. As a staff, our charge is to support our most vulnerable students: Black, Brown, Indigenous, students with different learning abilities, and our English Language Learners. We will continue to cultivate strong relationships with our students. Through this cultivation we foster a culture of belonging for all students. Instructionally, we will delve into best practices to ensure that all students receive rigorous curriculums. On the other hand, our support staff will continue to leverage their expertise to meet the needs of our students.
Let me not forget to thank our parent community for their 皇家华人 in supporting our school. I am at a loss of words (for all they have done and continue to do for Roseway) and am very grateful for their generous involvement. Their engagement has deepened our connection and strengthened our school community. Thank you for everything that you do to support our students and staff.
Lastly, my leadership team's focus for this year are: Purpose, Humility, and Compassion. Our collective purpose is to ensure that everyone in our school community feels seen, heard, and valued through our instruction, curriculum, and interaction with each other. We understand that each of us have our own stories and these stories collectively enrich our experiences. We hear these stories through the lenses of humility and compassion. We see our students for who they are and the potential that they carry with them.

Es con gran honor y humildad que regresó a Roseway Heights MS como su directora. El año pasado fue una gran experiencia de aprendizaje para mí. No solo crecí como directora, también crecí como persona. Como mencioné el año pasado, no hay otra escuela en la que prefiera ser que Roseway Heights. Nuestra comunidad escolar es hermosa y llena de amor. Nuestros estudiantes son amables y llenos de empatía y compasión. `Fueron la razón por la que mis días estaban llenos de emoción y risas.
Me gustaría dar la bienvenida a todos y también a nuestros nuevos estudiantes y familias. A medida que nos acercamos al año escolar 2023-2024, hay varias cosas que quiero compartir con ustedes. Como personal, nuestro deber es apoyar a nuestros estudiantes más vulnerables: negros, marrones, indígenas, estudiantes con diferentes habilidades de aprendizaje y nuestros estudiantes del idioma inglés. Continuaremos cultivando relaciones sólidas con nuestros estudiantes. A través de este cultivo fomentamos una cultura de pertenencia para todos los estudiantes. Instructivamente, profundizaremos en las mejores prácticas para garantizar que todos los estudiantes reciban planes de estudios rigurosos. Por otro lado, nuestro personal de apoyo continuará aprovechando su experiencia para satisfacer las necesidades de nuestros estudiantes.
Permítanme no olvidar a nuestra comunidad de padres por su trabajo de apoyo a nuestra comunidad escolar. No tengo palabras y estoy muy agradecido por su participación y apoyo. Su compromiso ha profundizado nuestra conexión y fortalecido nuestra comunidad escolar. Gracias por todo lo que hace para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes y personal.
Por último, nuestros temas escolares para este año son: propósito, humildad y compasión. Nuestro propósito colectivo es garantizar que todos en nuestra comunidad escolar se sientan vistos, escuchados y valorados a través de nuestra instrucción, plan de estudios e interacción entre nosotros. Entendemos que cada uno de nosotros tenemos nuestras propias historias y estas historias colectivamente enriquecen nuestras experiencias. Escuchamos estas historias a través de los lentes de la humildad y la compasión. Los vemos por lo que son y el potencial que llevan consigo.
